Fee fi fo fum!19.05.17

In Literacy this week we continued our work on Jack and the Beanstalk. We sequenced pictures from the story and created a story map together as a class. We then had a go at retelling the story, Miss Howells was very impressed with our use of WOW! words.

In Maths we have been learning about height and length. We received a letter from the Giant asking for our help. He wanted us to find things that were longer, shorter and the same length as his foot print. We found out that the timetable cards are shorter, the whiteboard is longer and our 'Elmer' book is the same size!

In P.E this week we practised our May Dance outside with Willow Class. We can't wait to perform it at the community tea on Thursday and for are friends and family on Friday. 7 sleeps to go!

In Circle Time we thought about making good choices. We read the story 'Lucy's Quarrel' and talked about how Lucy could have solved the problem with Alice.

This weeks Learning Owl is Sophia. She has been chosen for using her perseverance skills. Well done Sophia, we hope you enjoy your weekend with Hootie.

For home learning this week we would like you to explore capacity. Can you find something that is full, half full and empty?
